Many UK B&Bs are inspected by the national tourism body VisitBritain for the standard of accommodation, cleanliness, hospitality and quality of food provided.

In England, the star ratings are shown as EnjoyEngland.com ratings.  They rate more than 10,000 Bed and Breakfasts and Guest Houses every year, with properties receiving between 1 star for no frills accommodation, to 5 stars for luxury accommodation with excellent facilities.
